There once was a baby — just like you!

Who came into the world all perfect and new.

He had two eyes, two ears and a cute button nose

Ten little fingers and ten little toes.

 

This baby was born far, far away

And placed in a bed filled with hay.

A star shined bright and Angels did sing

For this baby was Jesus, our newborn king.

 

Baby Jesus grew into a strong young lad

Then became a man – just like Dad!

Daddy, is Jesus a friend of yours?

He is my friend, and so much more…

 

Jesus is joy, kindness and love

He’s in Mommy’s kiss and Daddy’s hug.

Jesus is courage in the night and the day

He calms our fears and lights our way.

 

Jesus is constant, he will always be

He is everywhere and in everything.

Jesus is all things good and true

And he lives in me, and he lives in you.
