Life is an adventure worth writing about.
Great stories happen when life gets messy. It’s the shared struggles, or the experience that is so much wilder and more harrowing than our own, or the story of a love that survives great odds, or simply an outrageous story that makes us laugh, and cry, and root for someone other than ourselves – It’s life, big and small, gritty and grand, heartaches and hallelujahs, that make a story great, that cause a story to call out to us, to grab us, inspire us, change us.
Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love.
What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world after world – worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet or excite you. Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean; they show us how to live.
Without writers, there’d be no books.
For that matter, there’d be no T.V. shows, movies, plays, or songs with lyrics. The world needs writers!
